The Middleborough Public School District was one of 46 in the state to be named to the College Board’s 2012 AP District Honor Roll, for expanding access to Advanced Placement courses and maintaining or improving the percent of students scoring 3 or higher. “We’re always pleased when our students achieve good scores,” said Superintendent Roseli Weiss. “It reflects on their motivation and desire to achieve and on the good teaching we provide.” AP tests are scored on a scale of 5, with 3 and above categorized as “qualified.” Many colleges and universities grant course credit for qualifying scores. Massachusetts had more school districts on the honor roll this year than any other state in the nation. Other districts on the list were Braintree, Carver, Mansfield, Norton, Pembroke, Scituate, Weymouth, and Silver Lake Regional.
