Five Thanksgiving Day football games to Watch

Blue Hills (9-1) at

Bristol-Plymouth (4-6), 10 a.m.

State scoring leader Vincent Burton (32 touchdowns) and Blue Hills have just one loss (North Shore), and they’re averaging 32.8 points per game. But the road to the Mayflower Large title must go through QB Evan Cabral and the Craftsmen, who are 3-1 against league foes.

Holliston (7-3) at
Westwood (7-3), 10 a.m.

A battle for the Tri-Valley League Large title, with both teams 3-0 in league play. Quarterback Alex Berluti and his brother, junior wide receiver Bo, have had great chemistry for Westwood’s Wolverines. The Panthers are seeking their fourth straight playoff berth.

Quincy (6-4) at

North Quincy (3-6), 10 a.m.

In the 80th meeting of the city rivals, players on both sides will wear commemorative jerseys and alums will be saluted on the field. North Quincy has taken the last three matchups, but the Presidents have put together a solid season.

St. John’s Prep (8-1) at
Xaverian (4-6), 10:15 a.m.

Once again, a battle for the Catholic Conference title. Can Prep’s 1-2 backfield punch of Johnathan Thomas and Alex Moore carve up a Hawk defense boasting 6-foot-2, 285-pound University of Michigan recruit Maurice Hurst and 6-2, 305-pound Ray Gobbi? Xaverian has won its last three games after a 1-6 start. Prep has not lost since Week 3 against Everett.

Walpole (9-1) at

Weymouth (8-2), 10 a.m.

QB David Harrison and the host Wildcats have already locked up the Bay State Carey title. The Rebels need a victory, and a Natick loss at Framingham, to secure the Bay State Herget crown. And in the 17th meeting, they’d also like to erase the bad taste of last year’s 20-14 loss.
