The Walpole Public Library will get a visit from the past when three reenactors arrive Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. to talk about the long hike they’re making from Providence to Boston, retracing the route taken by General Jean Baptiste de Rochambeau 230 years ago as part of the French involvement in the American Revolution. The modern trip is scheduled to start in Providence on Monday, with stops in Pawtucket, North Attleborough, Wrentham, Walpole, Dedham and Boston. The visit is sponsored by the Friends of the Walpole Public Library. More information about the reenactment is available at www.w3r-us.org.
