As its contribution to the town’s 300th anniversary celebration, members of Pembroke’s Quaker community are inviting the public to their weekly meeting Dec. 9 at 1 p.m. at the Bethel Chapel, 155 Washington St. At 2 p.m., there will be an open house with refreshments at the chapel, and the public at that time will also be invited to tour the historic Quaker Meetinghouse, at the corner of Schoosett and Washington streets. Built in 1706, the building is the oldest Quaker meetinghouse in the state and is used for the Quakers’ summer meetings.
