Tara Brooke Watkins founded Pariah Theatre Company after she started to feel like a bit of a pariah herself. She wanted to celebrate the centennial of the death of her favorite playwright, August Strindberg. So she looked for a theater company to help put on a Strindberg production, but was met with hesitation or flat-out rejection. Now, after months of hard work, Pariah Theatre Company is opening with an immersive adaptation of Strindberg’s “A Dream Play” called “. . . Or Dreaming.”
