Thanks very much for writing and publishing the article on the Luther Sampson woodworker’s shop in Duxbury (“18th-century workshop revealed,” Nov. 25).
It is very heartening to all who are interested in historic trades to learn of such a discovery. I am also pleased to see that my old friend Michael Burrey, with whom I worked years ago at Plimoth Plantation, gets credit for recognizing the shop and bringing it to light.
Your article is informative and well written, and I appreciate your interest in a subject that would seem too esoteric for many writers and editors.
