The Marshfield Fire Station Building Committee hopes to make recommendations to the Board of Selectmen Monday regarding the hiring of a project manager for the construction of a new $3.5 million Massasoit Avenue fire station in southeastern Marshfield, according to Fire Chief Kevin Robinson.   The oldest part of the existing station dates to around 1900, according to the chief. Nine companies bid for the job of owner’s project manager, he said. An owner’s project manager represents the town in dealings with contractors and others involved in the work. Marshfield Town Meeting approved funding for the station in October.
