The Pembroke Community Center will be the focus of a public hearing before the Board of Selectmen on Monday at 7:30 at Town Hall. The Community Center Study Committee is exploring the future of the center, a multi-purpose municipal building located on the town green. At Monday’s hearings, the panel will present the results of a survey it conducted on how townspeople use the center and the types of functions they would like it to feature in the future. The public will have additional opportunities to voice ideas on that subject at a series of community forums beginning in January, according to committee member Hank Galligan. Once it finishes gathering community views, the committee will evaluate options for addressing the pressing physical needs of the center building, and how changes might be financed.
