A recent survey showed the income of Curry College’s president rose 27 percent from 2009 to 2010. The annual report from the Chronicle of Higher Education shows Kenneth Quigley Jr., who has been at Curry’s helm for 16 years, received total compensation of $538,211 in 2010, with $360,885 in base pay and the rest from bonuses, deferred compensation, nontaxable benefits, and other things. The Chronicle compared Quigley’s pay to other schools of similar size with comparable admission rates and said he was paid 42 percent more than the average of those colleges. The Chronicle’s study surveyed 480 private colleges across the country. For more information, go to www.chronicle.com/article/Executive-Compensation-at/136165/#id=table.
