Murder at the library

Town officials and business owners will be featured in "Murder at the Library," a murder mystery fund-raiser, at 7 p.m. Jan. 18 at Stoughton Town Hall. The event is presented by Support Our Library Association, the fund-raising arm of the Stoughton Public Library. The cast of the production, directed by Fred Yaitanes, will include Selectwoman Cynthia Walsh as murder victim "Agathy Mystery," Police Chief Paul Shastany as "Sam Slayed," and library director Pat Basler as "Lotta Books." School Superintendent Marguerite Rizzi will provide accompaniment on the bass. A cash bar and snacks will be available, so those attending must be at least 21. The snow date is Jan. 25. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the Stoughton Public Library, by calling Dori Frankel at 781-341-0856, or by contacting her on Facebook.
