Officials in the Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District are launching Edline in January, which will give parents access to information about their children through a personalized, secure side of the district’s website. At a minimum, officials said, teachers will use the portal to post grades for mid-term progress reports and report cards, and several teachers are planning to post additional information such as homework assignments and other content that will not be visible to the general public. Directions for creating an Edline account are available at www.freelake.org. Parents with questions can contact their children’s schools or e-mail the Edline help desk at firstname.lastname@example.org. Officials ask that when using e-mail, parents include their child’s name and school, as well as the parents' names.
