Nathan Littman, Abington: The goalie made 26 saves and didn’t allow Middleborough to score until the final minute of the 4-2 win.

Eddie Pratt, Xaverian: A hat trick in the third period was the key to a 9-7 victory over Mansfield.

Andy Reardon, Rockland: The junior scored the winning goal along with 3 additional points to propel Rockland to a 4-3 win over Cohasset.

Ryan Small, Whitman-Hanson: The senior goalie had 25 saves for the Panthers in a 5-1 win over Quincy.

Coach Louis Finocchiaro, who currently has a career record of 120-55-34 at Austin Prep. Two teams with successful histories will set the tone for the current season.
