The South Shore Folk Music Club in Kingston is hosting a concert by The Ravens, a six-member acoustic music group performing original compositions and traditional folk, bluegrass, and blues music on Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Beal House, 222 Main St. The concert is also the CD release party for the group’s first recording. Formed three years ago, The Ravens comprise brothers Chris and Paul Botelho, Mark Casey, Dave Hanson, Curt Lit, and Eric Naylor. The Folk Music Club is a nonprofit organization that has been presenting a variety of acoustic music coffeehouse performances and concerts in Kingston for 34 years. The club’s atmosphere is informal and friendly. Tickets to Saturday’s show are $18; $16 for members. For information see the club’s at www.southshorefolkmusicclub.org.
