Fiction forum: The Paul Pratt Memorial Library is hosting a fiction forum on Sunday at 4 p.m. Authors Edith Pearlman, Madeline Miller, and Margot Livesey are on a panel moderated by former Boston Globe columnist Susan Trausch. Genetics talk: At “What’s Hiding in Your Genes?” Dr. Jodi Hoffman will discuss genetic disorders that can be carried by Ashkenazi Jews, Sunday at 10:15 a.m. at Pierce Middle School. Brunch will be served during the talk. A $5 donation is requested. 617-698-3394.
