Natural Resources Trust bridges wetland

The Natural Resources Trust of Mansfield has finished a 250-foot boardwalk over a wet stretch on a heavily used trail in the Mansfield Great Woods. Member Colin Cauldwell said a grant from the town's gift committee allowed the trust to purchase "hundreds of pieces of material" that volunteers hauled out to the site. Cauldwell, who is a carpenter by trade, headed the work to construct the boardwalk. The trail runs from the Oak Street parking area   all the way through the 800-acre conservation property to the Comcast Center site. The boardwalk will make a stretch that is regularly very wet in the spring more accessible. Anyone wishing to pitch in to similar efforts organized by the trust or learn more about the organization's activities can log on to
