Selectman David W. Soper Jr. said he plans to seek another term at the town election in May. The owner of a Hanson-based advertising and marketing business, Soper said he intends to campaign on the same platform as in 2010, which includes “fiscal responsibility and holding the line on taxes,” and attracting businesses appropriate to the town. In particular, he cited his desire to help stimulate economic growth along Route 27. Before becoming a selectman, Soper served a term on the Trustees of Memorial Field and was a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Plymouth County Hospital Re-use Committee.
