According to Town Administrator Charlie Seelig, winter is a busy season for local boards and committees, and several need new members to help with tasks ranging from overseeing the town’s finances to planning the next July Fourth bash. The list includes the Beautification Committee, Cable TV Advisory Committee, Capital Planning Committee, Council on Aging, Finance Committee, Halifax in Lights Committee, Historical Commission, Historic District Commission, Town Government Study Committee, Traffic Safety Committee, Wage and Personnel Board, and Zoning Board of Appeals. Those interested in volunteering may contact the selectmen’s office at 781-294-1316, or go to the town’s website at www.town.halifax.ma.us to download a talent bank form.
