Chamber of Commerce may move to Town Hall

The Hanover Chamber of Commerce could be moving into Town Hall if an agreement can be reached on the rent. Chamber president Cathy Follett recently met with selectmen to discuss the possibility of leasing space in the building’s basement. The chamber is currently housed at Follett’s business, Renovisions, at Four Corners in Hanover, officials said. Although the rent has been quoted at $170 a month, Town Manager Troy Clarkson said negotiation is possible and town officials will discuss it later this month. “The Board of Selectmen has set a clear goal for enhancing the town’s partnership with the chamber,’’ he said. “The figure mentioned was based on a ballpark analysis of utility costs. I’m confident that we can work something out that helps solidify the board’s goal and provides the chamber with a more permanent home.”
