Selectmen have decided to hear from the public on allowing medical marijuana dispensaries in town and have scheduled a public forum during the board’s Feb. 12 meeting at Town Hall. “Right now, our zoning in the commercial district is pretty wide open for allowing them by right,” Town Administrator Charles Seelig said. “The question is, should the bylaw be changed to prohibit them, allow them with restrictions, or do we want to leave it the way it is. If we want to do something, we would have to hold a special Town Meeting.” Seelig said there are probably some who would like to prohibit the dispensaries, “but the town as a whole approved the law.”
