Easing of construction restrictions urged for wetlands


Allowing buildings to be constructed closer to wetlands and taller than current norms will help drum up business in town, according to a proposal developed by the local economic development committee. Its members have suggested several zoning bylaw changes, including an increase in building height restrictions from three to four stories and altering the no-build zone by a wetland to 25 feet from 50 feet for a building and 10 feet for such things as driveways or retention basins.
