The Westwood Elementary Schools Coalition, which raises money for all five elementary schools, is seeking auction items for its annual fund-raiser in March. The group wants “items that will attract high bids, such as [time at] vacation homes, unique experiences, and tickets to concerts and sporting events," said Leigh Wasserman, president of the coalition. The group funds such things as curriculum and multicultural enrichment programs, field trips, computer equipment, art programs, and classroom supplies. Last year, the event attracted nearly 500 attendees and raised $55,000. The goal for this year’s event, which begins at 7:30 p.m. on March 16 at Moseley’s on the Charles in Dedham, is $60,000. Tickets cost $50 a person, and will rise to $60 after March 1. Tickets can be purchased through each elementary school’s coalition representative or by contacting Sandy Harte at firstname.lastname@example.org.
