The town is considering raising tuition for full-day public kindergarten by $300 to $3,000 a year for the school year beginning in September. Half-day kindergarten is free. There are currently three full-day kindergarten classes with 75 students, and around 95 students in the half-day kindergarten program. Central School Principal Gina Williams is also proposing offering extended day programs for the school’s two- and three-day prekindergarten students to accommodate working parents. The two-day program costs $1,125 a year and the three-day program $1,650 a year. There are 65 students ages 3 and 4 in those programs.
