Master Plan public meeting

The Stoughton Master Plan Committee will host a meeting Monday to hear public opinion on the town’s new Master Plan. The meeting is the second of two such sessions in Phase One; the first, a visioning forum last Oct. 15, brought together 110 residents and business owners to share ideas about the town’s future. Residents later were asked to complete an online survey. After Phase One is complete, a “visioning report” will be compiled, including an overview of existing conditions in town and a statement that outlines the community’s desired future. At Monday’s meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. at the Stoughton Senior Center, 110 Rockland St., consultants will solicit the input needed to finalize the vision, goals, and issues that will form the foundation for Phase Two. Child care will be provided on a first-come basis and transportation for seniors and the disabled is available by contacting Karen Hall, director of the Council on Aging and Stoughton Youth Commission, at 781-344-8882.
