Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District wrapping up superintendent's search

The Freetown-Lakeville Regional School Committee has been searching for the district's fourth superintendent in the last 10 years, and is now focusing on three finalists: Maureen Ward, superintendent of the Franklin and Hill school districts in New Hampshire; Linda Carrier, director of curriculum and instruction for the Monson public schools, and Christopher Parker, president and lead consultant of Ideal Consulting Services of Westport. Westport School Superintendent Carlos Colley also made the list of finalists but recently withdrew his name. The School Committee has already conducted interviews and is now visiting locations where the finalists work. The district has been without a permanent superintendent since June 2012, when then-superintendent John McCarthy left to take the helm in Scituate. Former assistant superintendent Jessica Huizenga has been filling in as interim superintendent since then.
