Butler School parking lot may expand


A Special Town Meeting will decide Monday whether to go forward with a $1.5 million parking project at Butler Elementary School, according to Town Clerk Jean Kopke. Principal Darrin B. Reynolds wrote in his February newsletter to parents that the project would increase the school’s parking capacity from 66 to 177 spots and improve traffic safety. The project needs a two-thirds vote at Town Meeting before it can go on the ballot as a Proposition 2 ½ debt-exclusion override in the spring election, Kopke said.
