Community information hotline

The city has set up a hotline for residents to call for up-to-date community information. “This is just another tool we are adding to our outreach efforts to let residents know about important events and information,” Mayor Linda Balzotti said in a statement announcing the new initiative. The dedicated line will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and updated regularly, she said. Messages on the phone line — 508-897-1398 — will be left in English, but postcards alerting residents and business owners about the new informational tool were sent out in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole. For more information, call the mayor’s office at 508-580-7123.
