Close to 250 people braved the chilly waters off Nantasket Beach last weekend to raise money for Wellspring Multi-Service Center. The 18th annual Drowned Hogs swim and accompanying Chowderfest raised about $18,000 for the social service organization, according to spokeswoman Monica McKinney. The prize for top fund-raiser went again to high school student Jonathan Bloch of Hull, McKinney said. “He’s been raising money for us since he was little; he’s a dedicated, dedicated young philanthropist,” she said.
