Mary Sheard has again volunteered to assist low-income Whitman residents who are age 60 and older with preparation of their income tax returns and circuit-breaker tax credit forms. The service is free of charge. Sheard will be available at the senior center on Hayden Street on Tuesdays. According to Council on Aging director Barbara Garvey, Sheard’s services are in high demand, so she recommends early sign-up. “Every year, she books up,” Garvey said.
