The Board of Selectmen and the library trustees last Tuesday appointed Dianna McDevitt to fill the library trustee seat that became vacant last month after the resignation of Carolyn Galambos. McDevitt’s appointment lasts until the town election in May, which is also when term of the seat expires. Meanwhile, the office of Treasurer-Collector Jeanne Sullivan is reminding residents that the 2013 motor vehicle excise bills were mailed to all vehicle owners in town on Jan. 22 and are due Feb. 21. Payments can be made by mail, in person at the treasurer-collector’s office during business hours, or online through the town’s website, www.hanson-ma.gov.  For more information, call the office at 781-293-2422.
