New proposal for Simon Hall Village


Members of the zoning board recently discussed altered plans put forward by the developers of Simon Hall Village, a project proposed under the state’s 40B affordable-housing law. The revised plan for the development, to be located off Prospect Street, now calls for 80 townhouses in four buildings, instead of the previous plan for 125 rental units. The zoning board’s hearing was continued until March 13. Over the past several years, the construction project has triggered widespread concerns from residents about the impact of development plans.
