Students to use new writing software

The Milton Public Schools will be using an educational software program designed by local parent Chris Twyman to get students in grades 4 through 12 excited about writing. BoomWriter starts with a first chapter of a book. Students have to finish the book by writing their own chapters. Through the program, students make an avatar, write chapters, and then vote on their classmates’ favorite chapter. When the books are finished, they will be published printed and distributed to the students, according to Pierce Middle School Assistant Principal Amy Gale.
