Ex-employee jailed for stealing from car dealer

A former employee who stole nearly $100,000 from a Hanover car dealership was sentenced to four months in prison and ordered to repay the money, according to a press release from the US Attorney’s Office. Susan Morris, 44, a Holbrook resident, admitted in US District Court to embezzling $96,920 from Dave Delaney’s Buick GMC while working in the accounting department from 2010 to 2012. Morris, investigated by the US Secret Service and prosecuted by US Attorney Carmen Ortiz’s office, has admitted to using fake transactions to funnel the money into a personal account, the press release said.
