The Halifax Congregational Church, located next to Town Hall on Plymouth Street, is again offering its chowder luncheons from 11:30 to 1 p.m., on Fridays through March 22. The weekly menu includes a choice of seafood, corn, or clam chowders, beverage, and dessert for $7. Meals can be enjoyed in the church hall or taken out. On Friday evenings during Lent, Our Lady of the Lake Church, on Monponsett Street, will offer chowder suppers from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the parish hall. Offerings include corn or clam chowder, a special entrée, corn bread, and macaroni and cheese for kids, for $5 per person. Take-out is available. Call the rectory at 781-293-7971 to place an order.
