Concert features world-renowned pianist

Bridgewater State University’s music department will present Armenian pianist Lilit Karapetian-Shougarian in concert Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Horace Mann Auditorium in Boyden Hall. Karapetian-Shougarian has performed in solo appearances and ensembles, in her native Armenia as well as worldwide. Career highlights include a prize at the Transcaucasian Music Competition in 1981 and a professorship at Yerevan State Conservatory, where she taught a piano class and piano teaching methods from 1988 to 2005. She now lives in Wellesley. Tuesday’s concert is free and open to the public.
