Crowded slate for town election

Seven residents are running in April’s town election for two open spots on the School Committee. The candidates are Jared Valanzola, Richard Dunham, Richard Phelps, Daniel Biggins, Elizabeth Henderson, Robert Mahoney, and Richard Harris. Three men are vying for two open Board of Selectmen seats — current Chairman Edward Kimball and two former selectmen, Larry Ryan and Michael Zupkofska. Two men, Robert Corvi and David Taylor Jr. , are competing for highway superintendent. Thomas Hynes and Daron Snyder are running against each other for a two-year term on the Planning Board. The rest of the races in the April 30 election, including town moderator, are uncontested.
