Like several surrounding communities, Easton will move its April 23 town election to April 30 in order to coincide with the state primary for the US Senate seat formerly held by John Kerry. Selectmen agreed to the change on Monday after Town Clerk Jeremy P. Gillis said the town would save as much as $4,000 if the votes were held on the same day at Oliver Ames High School. Voters will use separate ballots for the local and Senate elections.
