Boards fill vacancy

Selectmen and the Planning Board have voted to appoint Susan Boyer to fill a vacancy on the Planning Board until the town election April 27. Boyer had been the board’s associate member for special permit applications, filling in for an absent member when a full board is needed. The boards also appointed William Watson to become the board’s associate member. The vacancy on the board opened following Ron Gleason’s resignation last month. Voters will select a candidate to serve the remaining year on Gleason’s term at the town election. Boyer and Watson have taken out nomination papers for the position.
