Green energy committee seeks volunteers

The newly formed Rockland Sustainable Community Committee is looking for volunteers to help reduce the town’s energy footprint. Town Administrator Allan Chiocca said the formation of the committee brings the town one step closer to getting a solarization grant. That grant would allow private homeowners to install solar panels at a discounted rate. Those interested in joining the committee should contact the Board of Selectmen at 781-871-1874, ext. 100.
