Planning Board to discuss medical marijuana zoning


The Planning Board voted last Monday to discuss changes to the zoning bylaws with regard to where a medical marijuana facility could be located. Communities such as Brockton and Stoughton are considering zoning changes to control where medical marijuana growing areas and dispensaries will be allowed to open. The Planning Board discussion will take place April 1, and the state Department of Public Health has a May 1 deadline for writing the regulations governing the law that legalized marijuana for medical use.
