Online guide to scholarships published

The 2013 Brockton High School Scholarship Book has been published online to make it easier for seniors to apply for scholarships. “The college application and financial aid process is a lengthy and stressful undertaking,” said Catherine Leger, head of the Guidance Department and a BHS graduate. “We wanted to lighten the load as much as possible for students and parents.” Each year, more than $50,000 local scholarships are awarded to seniors pursuing a college education. Applicants must write a one-page essay on why they should be considered and submit it with a completed Parent Financial Aid Form to the Guidance Office no later than April 1. All materials are available at www.brocktonpublicschools.com. Click the link for the BHS Guidance Department.
