Weymouth police say they believe a dispute over a girl triggered a fight that left two youths in the hospital and two charged with assault with intent to murder and assault with a dangerous weapon. “We’re just fortunate no one was killed,” said police Captain Richard M. Fuller. “We don’t know specifically, but we’re pretty sure it was about a girl.” He said the two victims drove to a house on Thayer Street and got into an argument with 19-year-old Thomas Curtin-Hiltz and a 15-year-old. Curtin-Hiltz allegedly hit one youth over the head with a baseball bat, and the 15-year-old hit the other victim on the head with an expandable baton, Fuller said. Both Curtin-Hiltz and the unidentified juvenile face up to 30 years in prison on the two charges, Fuller said. Curtin-Hiltz pleaded not guilty in Quincy District Court. The proceedings in juvenile court are not public.
