Mansfield election has contested races

Contested races for Mansfield School Committee and the Board of Selectmen are shaping up as would-be candidates gather signatures to be on the ballot for the May 14 election.

Town Clerk Marianne Staples said there are three candidates for two seats on each board.

Longtime School Committee member Jean Miller has said she will not run, while incumbent Lisa Losiewicz is expected to run, as are Lynn M. Cavicchi and Linda B. Fernando.

For the selectmen, incumbents Olivier Kozlowski and Doug Annino will be joined in the race by businessman Karl Clemmey. Nomination papers are due by March 26.
