Families from around the region are invited to a seminar on paying for college on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the second-floor lecture hall at Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School. Presented by the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority, the event will help families understand financial aid letters, college billing cycles, and options for financing. Martha Savery, MEFA director of public affairs, said the seminar follows up on fall sessions on applying for financial aid, but the spring seminars are held in fewer locations, so families from the surrounding area are encouraged to attend. They can bring their financial award letters for personal consultation with a MEFA representative. Attendees are asked to RSVP at www.mefa.org/seniors. Future seminars south of Boston include April 10 in Foxborough, April 11 in Braintree, April 18 in Easton, and April 24 in Marshfield. See the website for specific locations.
