Anniversary license plate contest

Plymouth South High School students recently produced videos to promote the town’s 400th anniversary license plate. Plymouth 400 Inc. officials watched the videos and chose two finalists, titled “Time Traveler” and “Secret Agent,” and residents now can watch the clips and vote for their favorite at www.plymouthma400.org/video-contest. Voting will continue through the end of March and the winner will be announced in April. “They were very creative,” said Plymouth 400 president Kevin O’Reilly. The license plate campaign is one of the ways the organization is trying to drum up support for the town’s 400th anniversary celebration in 2020. So far, Plymouth 400 has received 500 paid orders for the commemorative license plates, and 1,000 more are needed for the plates to go into production, according to Reilly.
