On March 24, two people from out of state suffered medical emergencies during an annual off-road motorcycle event at DeMoranville Farm in East Freetown. A 57-year-old New Hampshire man died of a heart attack, and a 36-year-old Rhode Island man sustained serious injuries after colliding with a tree during the Hare Scramble, which was sponsored by Pilgrim Sands Trail Riders, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the sport of off-road motorcylcing.
