Donors help local couple keep home

As of last week, 305 donors had contributed $43,200 to a local couple who have been fighting eviction from their Spring Street home. As John and Julienne Hazeldine awaited word on whether they can buy back their family homestead from the bank, organizers of a townwide relief campaign announced changes in the manner of providing support. According to Bill Milhomme, who has led the effort, checks should now be made out to The John and Julienne Fund and sent to TD Bank of Foxborough, 54 Central St., Foxborough, MA 02035. All donations that were formerly sent to the couple via The Friends of Foxborough Seniors will be transferred to the new account, Milhomme said. Some checks may need to be rewritten. The community has not only come together to assist the couple financially in their time of need, Milhomme said, but there has also been an outpouring of offers of home repair and other services to get the circa 1926 home into better shape.
