Manomet Elementary School celebrates 60th year

Manomet Elementary School is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, and a special assembly is scheduled for April 12. The festivities will take place from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the school, at 70 Manomet Point Road, and alumni are welcome to attend. Principal Patrick D. Fraine said alumni will have a chance to see past class photos, and catch up with former and current students, teachers, and administrators. “We’re hoping it will be an opportunity for our children to gain some perspective on our town . . . and hear a little bit about their school’s past,” said Fraine. Fraine is looking for former staff and students to share school photos or memorabilia that can be put on display during the event. Alumni who would like to attend the celebration or contribute to the school’s “memory box” should e-mail or call the school at 508-830-4380.
