A public hearing on a 34-lot subdivision called Little Comfort Estates will be held at the next Planning Board meeting on Tuesday at 7:45 p.m. at Lower Town Hall. The plan was submitted by Egan Development LLC and would be located on 31.5 acres off Auburn Street. Developer Stephen G. Egan said the proposed homes will be a mixture of Capes and Colonials, each on about a half-acre of land. Egan said the proposed subdivision has already won approval from the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Conservation Commission and is across the street from the Village at Auburnville, which he also developed. Little Comfort was the name of the original settlement that later became Whitman.
