Scituate

Shipwreck talk at the library

Scituate native and historian Tom Hall will visit Scituate Town Library on Sunday for a presentation on eight historic shipwrecks in Massachusetts Bay. Pulled from his book, “Shipwrecks of Massachusetts Bay,” the talk will focus on the research around the shipwrecks, including the ship design and weather conditions specific to each accident. Adult Service Librarian Susan Pope expects a large turnout because of the topic and the area, and also because of Hall’s expertise. “And he’s a Scituate native,” she said. The discussion will begin at 2 p.m. at the library. For more information, visit www.scituatetownlibrary.org.
