Professional puppeteer Nicola McEldowney will visit the Thayer Public Library on Wednesday with her puppet show “Ferdinand.” Intended for children ages 3 through 9, the story is about a Spanish bull named Ferdinand, who despite his kind nature, may be forced into bullfighting. Norma Zeoli, who works in the children’s section of the library, expected a crowd of 50 to 60 to show up. “They will probably fill the room. It’s school vacation week,” she said. The event is partially sponsored by the Braintree Cultural Council, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. The event will begin at 2:30 p.m., and registration is not required.
